2017-2018 Applications for KCSF Scholarships and Bursaries

캐나다 한인장학재단(KCSF)은 2017-2018년도 장학금 및 학비 보조금 지원자를 모집한다.

학생들은 KCSF 공식 웹사이트 (www.kcsf.ca) 를 통해 장학금 및 학비 보조금에 지원할 수 있다.

장학금 및 학비 보조금에 대한 정보는 다음과 같습니다. (더 자세한 정보는 공식 웹사이트에서 확인하실 수 있다):

• 일반 및 특정 프로그램 전형 장학금은 전형별 각 2,500달러가 수여되며 최소 대학 과정 1년 이상을 수료한 학생에 한하여 신청할 수 있다.
• Jung and Hae Kim 장학금은 최소 대학 과정 1년 이상을 수료한 학생에게 10,000 달러가 수여된다.

• Enviro Mushroom Farm Awards of Excellence는 최소 대학 과정 1년 이상을 수료한 2명의 학생에게 각 5,000 달러가 수여된다.
• Byung Kuk Kim Memorial Scholarship 전형은 공학도 1학년 학생들에게 제한되며 향후 4년간 10,000달러가 수여됩니다.

• Donald Choi Canada Ltd. Scholarship 전형은 대학 1학년 학생들에게 제한되며 향후 4년간 30,000달러가 수여된다.

• 학비 보조금: 재정적 필요에 따라 각 1,000달러의 학비 보조금 (선발 인원 제한) 지원 신청할 수 있다.

서류제출 기간은 2017년 11월 30일 11:59pm EST까지 이며 장학생 및 학비 보조금은 2018년 5월 5일에 열릴 장학의 밤에서 수여된다. 선발된 학생 명단은 한인장학재단 공식 사이트에 공지 될 예정이며 2018년 1~2월경 이메일을 통해 수상자들에게 개별연락이 취해질 예정이다.

캐나다 한인장학재단(KCSF)은 1978년 캐나다 한인 학생들에게 장학금을 지원하기 등록된 자선단체로써 개인과 기업의 관대한 기부를 통해 장학기금이 마련되고 있다. 학비 보조금 또한 관대한 기업 후원자들의 지원을 통하여 가능케 됩니다. 장학금 지원뿐만 아니라 고등학교 및 대학교에 재학 중이거나 최근 졸업한 캐나다 한인 학생들을 위한 리더십 및 학생 개발프로그램들을 제공하고 있다.

2017-2018 Applications for KCSF Scholarships and Bursaries

The Korean Canadian Scholarship Foundation (KCSF) is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for the 2017/2018 Scholarships and Bursaries. Prospective applicants can visit KCSF official website (www.kcsf.ca) and apply for scholarships or bursaries directly through the website. The following scholarships and bursaries are available for this year:

Scholarship:

• Up to twenty (20) general KCSF scholarships (value of $2,500) for students who have completed at least one year of a post-secondary program of study
•  
• One (1) The Jung and Hae Kim scholarship (value of $10,000) for students who have completed at least one year of a post-secondary program of study
• Two (2) Enviro Mushroom Farm Awards of Excellence (value of $5,000) for students who have completed at least one year of a post-secondary program of study
•  
• One (1) Byung Kuk Kim Memorial Scholarship ($10,000 for four years, $2,500/year) for a student in the first year of an engineering program
• One (1) Donald Choi Canada Ltd. Scholarship ($30,000 for four years, $7,500/year) for a student in the first year of any post-secondary program of study

Bursaries:

•  
• A limited number of bursaries in the amount of $1,000 are available to students in a post-secondary program of study, based on financial need

The deadline for submitting applications is Thursday, November 30, 2017 at 11:59pm EST . All scholarships will be presented at the Annual Scholarship Night Gala to be held on Saturday May 5, 2018 . In late January or early February 2018, a list of scholarship winners will be posted on the KCSF official website and the scholarship winners will also be notified by email .

The KCSF is a registered charity established in 1978 to provide scholarships and bursaries to Korean Canadian students. Scholarships are made possible through the generous donations of various individuals and corporations. Bursaries are made possible through the support of our generous corporate sponsors. The KCSF also provides leadership and student development programs for students in secondary and postsecondary studies and recent graduates.
